Through mentoring, kai support, financial guidance, and workshops, SuperGrans SuperSkills agencies across Aotearoa help individuals and whānau thrive.

SuperGrans SuperSkills Aotearoa Inc is the legal entity and national body for SuperGrans SuperSkills affiliated member organisations and exists to promote and provide support and services to the benefit of all SuperGrans SuperSkills member organisations. We provide 1-1 support to the agencies through mentoring, advice, promotion and develop tools and resources to support the agencies.  Running an annual conference is a highlight as is the monthly meetings to collaborate and share and encourage peer learning and idea generation.

At Rodney SuperGrans SuperSkills, we’re all about real-life skills, real connections, and real support. Based at the Women’s Centre Rodney, we offer group sessions and one-on-one support led by our amazing volunteer peer mentors — women helping women to grow and flourish. Whether it’s parenting, life skills, relationships or career journeys, our relaxed, empowering space welcomes women of all ages to learn, share, and support each other. Come along and discover the kind of encouragement that lasts well beyond the workshop.

SuperGrans SuperSkills Tairāwhiti (SGT) is a charity that supports Tairāwhiti whānau to live well and flourish. SGT focuses on enabling whānau with the skills and knowledge to take greater control of their own lives. Based on the values of aroha, hope and integrity, we: respond to people in crises and emergencies, provide a safe space for people to get the help they need and build their life skills. Give opportunities for knowledge sharing and connecting and support the development of food security for people living in hardship. Anyone in need can access our services without judgment and access; life skills workshops, financial mentoring, kai support, advocacy and strength-based practice to build self-esteem and confidence. 
Office Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm Friday, 9am - 3pm
Food Bank: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 2pm

SuperGrans SuperSkills Heretaunga

SuperGrans SuperSkills Heretaunga is a free service supporting women to develop life skills through one-on-one mentoring and workshops. The programme aims to empower women to gain knowledge and skills to improve their daily living personally and within their family. Our mentors are women of all ages who walk alongside other women, supporting them to develop a range of different skills including cooking healthy meals on a budget, gardening, growing food, CV writing, applying for jobs, budgeting, sewing and much more. Women can self-refer to the programme or be referred by other organisations and agencies. Each woman referred meets with our SuperGrans SuperSkills coordinator to discuss and identify her goals before being matched with an appropriate mentor.
Centre Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm

SuperGrans SuperSkills Tararua / Help n Hand

We are a charity shop and drop-in centre. We receive preloved clothing and small household items donated from the local community, that are free to anyone that needs them. We also have the Pahiatua foodbank. Rescued food is delivered here (surplus from local companies donated rather than going into landfill) We hold groups run by SuperGrans SuperSkills (charity) where you can learn skills such as home management, making the best of your resources (frugal living on a tight budget) and positive parenting practices and more "Skills your Gran would teach you." Drop in for a chat and coffee, see what items are here.

SuperGrans SuperSkills Manawatu

SuperGrans SuperSkills Manawatū Charitable Trust delivers free or low-cost services with our paid staff and volunteers. We aim to help families and individuals make the best of what they have by learning new and improving existing everyday life skills.
Our mentors draw on experience from their careers, household management, raising a family, and other practical skills. They help others set and achieve their goals while empowering and enriching with their knowledge.
We also participate in many other community initiatives.

Our service name is SuperGrans SuperSkills Charitable Trust.  Our SuperGrans SuperSkills Brand known as The Chloe Wright Whanau Empowerment Initiative, covers the Hutt Valley (Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt), Porirua, Wellington and we sometimes say yes to Kapiti whanau.

Building Financial Capability: Budgeting is Lower Hutt only. We use a commonsense approach when working with whanau out of our BFC area when we are there supporting the whanau with our family care and they need financial support.

 

Chloe Wrights Whanau Empowerment Initiative:
Whanau connect:  A community-based early intervention program designed to support new parents in the Hutt Valley, Porirua, and Wellington areas 
It provides one-on-one, in-home emotional and practical skill-based support to parents, aiming to improve the well-being of whanau (families) with young children who may be experiencing isolation or lack of support.

Skills-2-live: designed to help young women and families develop essential life skills through mentoring and practical support. The program focuses on building resilience and self-sufficiency by teaching skills that can improve daily living and overall well-being though the learning of household management. To be eligible for this program you need to have pre or primary school aged children or a young single woman.

SuperGrans SuperSkills Ōtautahi Charitable Trust is a free support service that will work alongside individuals, whanau and communities within Ōtautahi by sharing practical life skills and knowledge in a caring, confidential and non-judgemental manner. They aim to share home skills including cooking, crafts, sewing, gardening services and more for individuals and families. Operating through workshops and 1-1 support we aim to enhance wellbeing and work alongside people to develop and increase their basic life skills.

SuperSkills SuperGrans Central Otago REAP is a voluntary programme coordinated by Central Otago REAP and aligned to SuperGrans SuperSKills Aotearoa.

We offer support to families in the Alexandra-Clyde area, through weekly Coffee Mornings, workshops, In home support, and lending a hand where needed. We are committed to making intergenerational connections, sharing knowledge and skills across the generations.

Some of the workshops we offer are; Cooking, Hand Sewing/Mending, Knitting, Gardening, Felting, Sustainability & Natural Living, Parenting, Personal Growth, Art & Crafts to name a few. Our services are both free and inclusive.
