Our Services
SuperGrans SuperSkills is a community-based organisation that supports people of all ages to build practical life skills, confidence, and independence.
Through mentoring, various kai support, financial guidance, workshops and more our SuperGrans SuperSkills Network agencies across Aotearoa help individuals and whānau thrive.
What services do we provide?
Some of our agencies offer workshops to deliver interactive and friendly opportunities to further enhance engagement and connection and help people feel supported to learn these essential life skills. Our volunteer tutors ensure that you are in a safe enviroment to learn and take new skills home with you, along with a smile.
Many of our agencies also work 1:1 alongside our whánau participants to develop and strengthen their knowledge further. We hope to inspire them to have the confidence to thrive within their whánau and community.

- Financial mentoring and Budgeting
- How to make your income go further. - including shopping tips.
- Cooking healthy, tasty meals on a budget
- Growing your own food
- Preparing to rent
- Job seeking - Finding a Job
- Developing household routines
- Making your own cleaning products
- Preserving in-season fruit and vegetables
- Basic repairs around the home
- Clothes mending/ sewing/ knitting
- And so much more!
Where do you learn these life skills?
1. SUPERGRANS SUPERSKILLS AGENCY
Many of our agencies can work with you one on one at their premises. Or come along to a group session or workshop!
2. WORKSHOPS
Some people prefer to learn in a group environment and many of the SuperGrans SuperSkills agencies also offer workshops to meet this need. Coordinators and mentors work together to provide you with a fun, fulfilling and informative workshop.
3. YOUR OWN HOME
Work 1:1 with a mentor in your own home. Some agencies may offer this 1-1 in home service.
4. EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Each agency hosts different events throughout the year, keep up with your local agency to find out what you could get involved with next!
